The Adigeh Republic
allocated 3,700,000 rubles in its budget to advance relationships
with its nationals living in the Diaspora. According to a
statement made by the president of the National Committee and
Relationships with Nationals in the Diaspora - Vanishaslav
Jashamok, the work program for the period 2007-2011 will be
conducted in three directions: cultural relationships, integrating
mobility and services, and helping all those wishing to return to
their mother land from the Diaspora to acquire citizenship.
Jamshok also stated that the number of repatriates residing in the
Adigeh Republic alone reached 700 (19 children were born to
repatriates up until August of the year 2009)
When I read the news, I stopped to think, what are we supposed and
not suppose to do? What is right and what is wrong to do? For long
years we were fiercely arguing and debating and seems like we
overlooked this accomplishment or we did not realize its impact
and outcomes. Our debate and argument battles filled the battle
field with dust preventing us from clearly seeing and realizing
this accomplishment.
For God sake, does any one of us have an answer to those
questions?
• Which of our repatriation proposals or policies had an
accomplishment of 700 repatriates?
• Which of our repatriation proposals or policies is supported by
700 of those who believe in it and fight for it?
In a very short period of time and without prior proposition or
repatriation policies, a 700 hundred dauntless, self sacrificing,
committed, and pioneer heroes whose principles and the way they
are holding to it sets an example for all of us to follow.
If we add to this number the repatriates in Kabarda,
Karachai-Cherkesk, and Abkhazia, we realize that we have thousands
of those dauntless, self sacrificing, and committed pioneer heroes
and whose principles and the way they are holding to it sets an
example for all of us to follow.
Despite of the unmature and unorganized phase of repatriation idea,
and looking on the numbers of today’s repatriates, indicates that
the repatriation idea and policies will succeed with no doubts.
Believe me when I say, it is a tremendous and very hard
accomplishment, and almost impossible within the time period it
was accomplished. It is known that the most hard and long phase of
any ideological and political accomplishment is for individual to
initially accept the idea. Every innovative idea bares
uncertainty, risk, and lack of faith in its success, and even
doubts of its compatibility to common circumstances and status
quo. This is true not only for only ordinary people, but even for
the most trained personnel. In every time they raise the sails to
sail across the sea, salesmen always have a fear of the unknown.
In addition to those questions that storms human’s mind and makes
him hesitant, tens and even hundreds of additional questions comes across
his mind. Who will be my fellows in this
journey? On what and on whom should I rely? And what are the
hardships of accommodation and the degree of sacrifices and
success?
If you have no one to set an example for you, you should rely on
yourself and your natural judgment to solve your problems across
the unknown journey. Your faith and persistence should be very
strong in addition to patient, endurance, and determination.
Every beginning is hard, and the hardest of all is the beginning
of a political struggle. Those that propose and claim that the
State is weak have yet to prove it. But if you are one of those
who propose to bypass our fears, you should do it by yourself
following the footsteps of those who already did that, and to
become yourself a person to be followed. But if you are one of
those who shout: “death rather than repatriation”, indeed you
might not return to your home land, but definitely sooner or
latter you will die.
With such a step alone, the struggle does not end, and the idea
and principle of repatriation is not quite solid proven.
Repatriates should keep speaking about this principle hundred and
thousands of times until it becomes scripted in people's mind and
stored deep down in it. In order to overcome fear and
hesitance, repatriates should implement what they are saying. But
this is not enough, they have to organize and develop their
movement because every one is monitoring and glancing at them. If
they accomplish that, with no doubt, they would win the
ideological struggle, and what follows is much easier.
Read the head lines again, and you will realize that the
repatriation has started. There are 700 hundred of us are actually
living in the mother land in the Adegeh Republic alone despite of
all economic hardship surrounding the world and the region.
Despite the lack of accommodation or assistance to this event, or
even for someone to take their hand and help them, despite all
that and more, a 700 hundred crossed this journey “The Journey of
Glory”. Despite all what’s been said and repeated, they hold on to
what they have started, and have grown strong roots proving that the
repatriation is a reality as flesh covering bones. From now on, no
one can distort this reality by any giving example. The journey
has started, and will continue, and never will it stop, and it will
grow stronger in the near future.
We all owe those 700 pioneers. They sacrificed their way of living
and those they love in a stroke of a pen and without any
hesitance. The body of those 700 is the solid bricks that will
construct the bridge across the two banks of the valley that
separated us from the mother land for 150 years. This bridge will
be the connection between the past and the present of our Circassian nation, and will be our path for a prosperous future.
Those 700 hundreds are our founding fathers, and the example we
should follow. They are our heroes, the heroes of the Circassian
nation. I’m not sure if those seven hundred realize that they
exceeded our expectations and even accomplished more than what we had in mind.
They chose to be the messengers of our Circassian
nation in its dire circumstances and bridge the most important gap
by just only choosing to return to the mother land. And the most
important of it, that the possibility of organizing the
repatriation is so close and there is no doubt of it success. The
rock started to shudder and no way to stop it from
rolling.
Now and after a long period of time, we will start to see certain
steps and a destiny we cannot hide from. Our people love to
interact with the mother land, and this will be available to them
through the bridge of the 700 hundred.
There is no place for hesitant any more or even questioning
possibilities. Let us all reunite the two banks … hold on to our
hand … and let it be said … those of us living in the Diaspora are
returning, and those of us living in the mother land are
welcoming them. And if you cannot hear our marching foots, let your
shouts rise like a roar. There is no waist efforts or lost voices in
this direction. Let us celebrate and glorify the repatriate day …
let us held celebrations and talk plentiful about it … let us
reunite all country lover … let us be one voice, one heart, Wey
Marja. |
