Ger\u00e7ekte Avrupa prehistoryas\u0131, Childe zamanlar\u0131nda do\u011fu b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc bat\u0131da Dnieper&#8217;e dek uzanan Kafkaslara dek geni\u015fletilerek incelenebilir. Pontik-Hazar b\u00f6lgesi steplerinden Anadolu ve \u0130ran&#8217;a uzanan Kafkaslar asla, kuzeyden g\u00fcneye \u00f6nemli g\u00f6\u00e7ler ve etkile\u015fmeler i\u00e7in do\u011fal bir engel say\u0131lmazd\u0131. \u00d6nceden de de\u011finildi\u011fi gibi herhangi bir \u00f6nc\u00fc, ge\u00e7mi\u015f bin y\u0131ldaki ger\u00e7ekli\u011fiyle g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz akademisyenlerinin zihninde canlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>PIE \/ \u00d6HA (\u00d6n-Hint-Avrupal\u0131lar) yurdu problemi yorumsuz bir \u015fekilde kenarda b\u0131rak\u0131lamaz. \u00c7\u00f6z\u00fcm\u00fc, Indus vadisinden Anadolu\u2019ya oradan da Hazar steplerine ve \u00f6tesine uzanan Hint-Avrupal\u0131lar\u0131 i\u00e7eren yeni geli\u015fmelerin yorumlanmas\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131d\u0131r. Olduk\u00e7a yeni bir tart\u0131\u015fma (Anthony 1991), ulusal ve akademik \u00f6nyarg\u0131lardan uzak bir ba\u011flamda olay\u0131 ele al\u0131yor. Anthony \u00e7e\u015fitli a\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131 \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131karm\u0131\u015f: PIE\/\u00d6HA dilbiliminin Semitik&#8217;ten Fin-Uygur&#8217;a olan ba\u011flar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nemi ve a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131; Do\u011fudaki Andronova&#8217;yla \u00d6HA ili\u015fkilerine ili\u015fkin arkeolojik g\u00f6stergeler (\u00d6HA yurdundan ayr\u0131lmadan \u00f6nceki d\u00f6nemde bat\u0131daki durum a\u00e7\u0131k de\u011fildi \/ belirsizdi); yurdun s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131; ve \u0131l\u0131man b\u00f6lgedeki yurda (homeland) ili\u015fkin dilbilimsel kan\u0131tlar. T\u00fcm bu etmenler Kafkaslar\u0131n kuzeyinde, y\u00fcksek olas\u0131l\u0131kla a\u015fa\u011f\u0131 Volga&#8217;yla Dnieper havzas\u0131 aras\u0131nda, bir \u00d6HA yurduna i\u015faret ediyor.<\/p>\n<p>Buna kar\u015f\u0131n T.V.Gamkrelidze, \u00d6HA yurdunun, &#8220;Balkanlardan kuzey Mezopotamya&#8217;ya ve \u0130ran platosuna dek uzanan geni\u015f b\u00f6lgede bir yerde, M.\u00d6. be\u015finci, d\u00f6rd\u00fcnc\u00fc bin y\u0131lda&#8221; (Gamkrelidze 1990:6) oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yl\u00fcyor. Devam edip \u00d6HA yurdunun &#8220;M.\u00d6. d\u00f6rd\u00fcnc\u00fc be\u015finci bin y\u0131lda do\u011fu Anadolu, g\u00fcney Kafkas ve kuzey Mezopotamya aras\u0131nda bulunan bir b\u00f6lge&#8221; oldu\u011funu belirtiyor (Gamkrelidze 1990:10). Bir yandan beklenmedik bir k\u00f6\u015feden (Renfrew 1987) gelen arkeolojik deste\u011fi kabul ederken, dilbilimsel analizini onaylamad\u0131\u011f\u0131 arkeolojik verilere a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor, Arkeolojik kan\u0131t konusunu \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131yordu. Bir noktada \u00d6n-Hint-Avrupal\u0131lar bar\u0131\u015f\u00e7\u0131 \u00e7ift\u00e7ilerdi; sonradan, M.\u00d6. d\u00f6rd\u00fcnc\u00fc bin y\u0131l\u0131n sonlar\u0131na denk d\u00fc\u015fen erken bir zamandan ba\u015flayarak, atlar\u0131 ve \u00e7ift tekerli at arabalar\u0131yla g\u00f6\u00e7 eden h\u0131zl\u0131 hareketli at\u00e7\u0131lard\u0131 (Gamkrelidze 1990:12). Kral George d\u00f6nemi ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc) eksenindeki kocaman bir tekerle\u011fin, b\u00fcy\u00fck dairesel d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcyle hareket eden bir Hint-Avrupa dilleri g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc veriyor&#8221; (Diakonov 1990:61) Ermeniler ve hatta Azerbaycanl\u0131lar da kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131labilir benzer yakla\u015f\u0131mlar sunuyorlar.<\/p>\n<p>Anadolu&#8217;dan Ege&#8217;ye, bat\u0131ya do\u011fru Yunan g\u00f6\u00e7\u00fc, Gamkrelidze taraf\u0131ndan \u00f6ne s\u00fcr\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc \u00fczere, James Mellaart&#8217;\u0131n bir ku\u015fak \u00f6nceki d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncelerine, \u00f6rne\u011fin Minyan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131na (Mellaart 1958), uymaktad\u0131r. Bellegio sempozyumu makalesinin sonunda (Gamkrelidze 1990:14) bir kuram olarak \u015funu \u00f6ne s\u00fcrer: &#8220;Karadeniz\u2019in kuzeyi ve Volga stepleri b\u00f6lgesi belki de &#8216;Eski Avrupa&#8217; dilleri i\u00e7in ortak (asl\u0131nda ikinci) temel yurt kabul edilmelidir. &#8216;\u0130kinci&#8217; s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fcndeki Gimbutas&#8217;a at\u0131fla yap\u0131lan vurgu, bunun &#8220;Hint-Avrupa dillerinin bat\u0131 grubunun yurdu&#8221; oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor. Balkanlardaki alternatif bir \u00d6HA (PIE) yurdu, olduk\u00e7a tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131n, olas\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcnm\u00fcyor (Diakonov 1985a). Belki de Gamkrelidze&#8217;n\u0131n ikincil yurdundaki, Pontik-Hazar b\u00f6lgesi, Hint-Avrupa orijinine ili\u015fkin g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc arkeolojik ipu\u00e7lar\u0131, daha hassas bir \u015fekilde Dnieper boylar\u0131nda (Anthony 1986; Anthony ve Brown 1991) ya da en az\u0131ndan Dnieper ile a\u015fa\u011f\u0131 Volga aras\u0131ndaki \u00d6HA yurdunda, bilinen en eski at evcille\u015ftirmesinde yatmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7ta Kanesh&#8217;in Karum&#8217;unda ilk kez g\u00f6r\u00fclen bat\u0131daki Anadolu leh\u00e7eleri ile do\u011fudaki Tocharian leh\u00e7elerinden olu\u015fan PIE erken-dilinin bozulmas\u0131 \/ y\u0131k\u0131lmas\u0131 i\u00e7in gereken zaman\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc s\u0131k\u00e7a yinelenen dilbilim arg\u00fcmanlar\u0131ndan biridir. \u00d6l\u00e7\u00fclebilir de\u011fi\u015fim oran\u0131 varsay\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n, pek \u00e7ok paleo-linguistik model i\u00e7in temel oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor.<\/p>\n<p>Ama dilbilimci olmayan biri bunu sorgulamak i\u00e7in \u00e7ok cesur olabilir mi? Burada yazar bir kez olsun Renfrew&#8217;le \u00f6nemli bir noktada ayn\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncededir (Renfrew 1990:19).<\/p>\n<p>Dil \u00f6ncesi toplumlarda ve \u00e7ok az dilsel \u00f6zelli\u011fe sahip olanlarda, yaz\u0131l\u0131 ya da \u015fekille anlat\u0131lamayan bir konu\u015fma ilkesi olmad\u0131k\u00e7a linguistik de\u011fi\u015fimler h\u0131zla geli\u015fip yay\u0131labilir mi? Buna erken \u0130ngilizce \u00f6rnek g\u00f6sterilebilir, iki y\u00fczy\u0131lda Chaucer&#8217;den Shakspeare\u2019e ge\u00e7i\u015fin derecesinin, Shakspeare\u2019den sonraki d\u00f6rt y\u00fczy\u0131l s\u00fcren de\u011fi\u015fiminkiyle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 gibi&#8230; Anadolu&#8217;ya yap\u0131lan g\u00f6ndermelerden anla\u015f\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 kadar\u0131yla, M.\u00d6. \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fc bin y\u0131l ortas\u0131 denli ge\u00e7 bir zamandaki \u00d6HA bile\u015fenlerinin g\u00f6\u00e7\u00fc, Suriye kolonileri d\u00f6neminin Hint-Avrupa leh\u00e7elerinin do\u011fumuna yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015f olabilir. Yine de bu hareketlerin tarihlemesinin M.\u00d6. d\u00f6rd\u00fcnc\u00fc bin y\u0131l olmas\u0131 daha olas\u0131 (Mallory 1989:263-4; Mellaart 1981; Steiner 1990).<\/p>\n<p>Gamkrelidze&#8217;nin Kartvelian rekonstr\u00fcksiyonunun Hint-Avrupa dilleriyle ba\u011flant\u0131lar\u0131 linguistler aras\u0131nda kabul g\u00f6rmedi (Harris 1990). Kafkaslar\u0131n t\u00fcm\u00fc pek \u00e7ok bin y\u0131l boyunca heterojen etno-linguistik gruplar\u0131n topland\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir yer olmu\u015ftur, bu de\u011fi\u015fmeyen demografik, k\u00fclt\u00fcrel ve askeri hareketlerin da\u011f engelinin \u00fczerinden ve \u00e7evresinden ge\u00e7mesiyle ili\u015fkilidir. Ard\u0131ndan kuzeyliler ve Yak\u0131n Do\u011fu halklar\u0131 aras\u0131ndaki yenilenmeyen etkile\u015fmeler gelir. Bu, Erken-Kartvelian ve Hattiler aras\u0131ndaki, \u00f6nceki \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 olduk\u00e7a \u00f6nemli k\u0131lan, bir ili\u015fkinin ipucuydu. Bunlar ETC k\u00fclt\u00fcr b\u00f6lgesi \u00e7a\u011f\u0131ndaki pop\u00fclasyon hareketlerine dair ipu\u00e7lar\u0131yd\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d6HA toplulu\u011funun (Polome 1992), ekonomisinin (Diebold 1992) ve dininin (Dumezil 1958, 1977; Mallory 1989:128-42) rekonstr\u00fcksiyon \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 burada tart\u0131\u015fmak i\u00e7in \u00e7ok fazla. \u00d6zellikle Hindistan&#8217;da g\u00f6r\u00fclen ve \u00fc\u00e7 a\u015famal\u0131 sosyal yap\u0131yla ili\u015fkili oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen sonraki baz\u0131 b\u00f6lgesel geli\u015fmeler yetersiz kan\u0131tlarla \u00d6HA alt durumuna ili\u015fkin bir \u00f6zellik olarak g\u00f6sterildi (Zimmer 1990a: 313). Pontik-Hazar b\u00f6lgesinin a\u00e7\u0131k ovalar\u0131nda ya\u015fam herhangi bir t\u00fcr g\u00fcvensizlikten tehlikeden uzak olsa gerektir: bu tepelere odaklanan tipik Kurgan gelene\u011findeki k\u00f6y yerle\u015fimlerini a\u00e7\u0131klayabilir; bu ayr\u0131ca erken Hint-Avrupal\u0131larca topluluklar\u0131n\u0131n de\u011ferlendirmesindeki &#8220;i\u00e7eri&#8221; (inside) ve &#8220;d\u0131\u015far\u0131&#8221; (outside) aras\u0131ndaki ikiye b\u00f6l\u00fcnmeyi de ayd\u0131nlat\u0131r. G\u00fcvenlik ve i\u00e7 destek kendili\u011finden sa\u011flan\u0131yordu: d\u0131\u015far\u0131s\u0131 d\u00fc\u015fman, s\u0131n\u0131rs\u0131z topraklar diyar\u0131yd\u0131. Kap\u0131n\u0131n kendisi bu ikisi aras\u0131ndaki s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131 belirten bir sembolizme sahipti: Urartu&#8217;dan bu yana sakl\u0131 kalm\u0131\u015f, Hurro-Urartu gelene\u011fine g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fc\u015fe g\u00f6re yabanc\u0131 olmayan bir sembolizm (Tarhan ve Sevin 1975). \u0130\u00e7 b\u00f6lgenin g\u00fcvenli\u011fine ili\u015fkin en \u00e7ok yitip giden Hint-Avrupa eklentisi ailenin bask\u0131n rol\u00fc idi, &#8220;homestead&#8221;i belirten s\u00f6zc\u00fcklerin etimolojisinden a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gibi (dam, domus, vb). \u00d6n -ve erken Hint- Avrupa dinine ili\u015fkin var olan kan\u0131tlar, tap\u0131naklar\u0131n yoklu\u011funu ama yiyecekli, i\u00e7ecekli, m\u00fczikli ve dingin cemiyet toplant\u0131lar\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor. Gene, evcil kalp k\u00fclt\u00fcne ili\u015fkin geni\u015f kan\u0131tlarla birlikte, ETC k\u00fclt\u00fcr b\u00f6lgesindeki erken Hurri gelene\u011fiyle paralellik var (Volpe, della 1990: 159-60); ve Hurri adaklar\u0131n\u0131n tekstil delilleri ile kutsal yap\u0131lar\u0131 kutsamak gibi benzerlikler, ki bunlara koro ve enstr\u00fcmanlar e\u015flik ederdi (Wilhelm 1989:65). Proto-Hint-Avrupa s\u00f6zl\u00fcklerinde ge\u00e7en baz\u0131 s\u00f6zc\u00fckler &#8220;y\u00fcksek da\u011f&#8221;, y\u00fckseklik, a\u011fa\u00e7lar, bitkiler ve hayvanlar\u0131n ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131 alan gibi kelimelere bakarak da\u011fl\u0131k \u00e7evrede olan ya\u015famlar\u0131n\u0131 bir kenara atamay\u0131z. \u00d6nemli oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen de\u011fi\u015fiklik, spektografik analizlerden a\u00e7\u0131kt\u0131r ki Pontik-Hazar alanlar\u0131nda Eneolitik d\u00f6nemde bak\u0131r kaynaklar\u0131 insan eli taraf\u0131ndan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Elbette M.\u00d6. 3600-2200 y\u0131llar\u0131nda Sredny Stog k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc Orta Dinyeper, Donets havzas\u0131nda ve ge\u00e7 eneolitik Yamunaya&#8217;da g\u00f6r\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Bak\u0131r kaynaklar\u0131ndaki bu de\u011fi\u015fiklik Balkan-Dunyapin&#8217;den Kafkas Da\u011flar\u0131na dekdir. Yamnaya k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcndeki teknoloji \u00e7ok sofistike de\u011fildi.<\/p>\n<p>Tar\u0131msal aletlerle, avc\u0131l\u0131k ve bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131l\u0131kta kullan\u0131lan silahlar \u00e7akmakta\u015f\u0131ndan yap\u0131lan b\u0131\u00e7ak, ok-ucu ve sava\u015f baltas\u0131 i\u00e7eriyordu. Bu biraz dilbilimsel \u00e7evrenin belirtti\u011fi \u00d6n-Hint-Avrupa materyal k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan avantajl\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bununla beraber b\u00f6lgedeki a\u00e7l\u0131k ya\u011fmay\u0131 cazip k\u0131l\u0131p da\u011fl\u0131k alanlardaki insanlar\u0131 motive ediyordu. \u0130lk olarak stepler ve ovalardaki alanlara sald\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Do\u011fal g\u00f6\u00e7 ve g\u00f6\u00e7ebelik belirtileri ele ge\u00e7mi\u015ftir, t\u0131pk\u0131 Hurrilerin ETR k\u00fclt\u00fcrel alanlar\u0131nda oldu\u011fu gibi. Bitki yeti\u015ftirmenin \u00f6nemi M.\u00d6. 4000&#8217;in sonlar\u0131nda anla\u015f\u0131labilmi\u015fti. Kuzey Kafkasya\u2019dan olan bu hareketlenmeler da\u011f eteklerinde ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmi\u015ftir.
