1840 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u201c\u00c7erkeslerle Bir Y\u0131l\u201d adl\u0131 iki ciltlik eserinden:
\nRuslar\u0131n P\u015fat Bb\u00f6lgesi\u2019ni i\u015fgal ederek ortal\u0131\u011f\u0131n bir ana baba g\u00fcn\u00fcne d\u00f6nd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc en kar\u0131\u015f\u0131k ortamlarda bile \u00c7erkeslerin tak\u0131nd\u0131klar\u0131 tav\u0131r, hi\u00e7bir kelimeyle ifade edilemeyecek kadar asilce ve mert\u00e7eydi. Ku\u015fkusuz \u00fcz\u00fclmekle beraber bunu do\u011fal kar\u015f\u0131lard\u0131. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc o kendi de\u011ferlendirmesinde bu sorunun cevab\u0131n\u0131 vermi\u015f, g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc bu erdemli tavra en uygar \u00fclkelerde bile rastlanamayaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 kesin bir dille vurgulam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n

H\u00fcrriyet Gazetesi, 24 Ocak 2007\u2019tarihli haberinde karaya oturan kargo gemisinden d\u00fc\u015fen konteynerlerin ya\u011fmaland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 duyuruyordu.
