Akraba Laz, Megrel, Svan ve G\u00fcrc\u00fclerin ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131 co\u011frafya da tarih boyunca oyun kurucu b\u00fcy\u00fck devletlerin ate\u015f \u00e7emberleri i\u00e7inde kald\u0131 hep. Ancak bu akraba halklar hem varl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 ve hem de anadillerini g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze kadar korumay\u0131 ba\u015fard\u0131lar.<\/p>\n Lazlar; g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde T\u00fcrkiye ve G\u00fcrcistan s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 i\u00e7indeki Do\u011fu Karadeniz ve G\u00fcney Bat\u0131 Kafkasya co\u011frafyas\u0131n\u0131n en eski ve yerli halklar\u0131nd\u0131r. En yak\u0131ndan akrabalar\u0131 Megreller’dir. Megreller G\u00fcrc\u00fcstan ve Abkhazya\u2019da ya\u015far. T\u00fcrkiye Lazlar\u0131 M\u00fcsl\u00fcman, G\u00fcrcistan ve Abkhazya Megrelleri ise, Ortodoks H\u0131ristiyan’d\u0131r.<\/p>\n Lazca ve Megrelce iki yak\u0131n karde\u015f dil. 20. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n politik kurumsal yap\u0131lanmalar\u0131 hem T\u00fcrkiye ve hem de Sovyetler Birli\u011fi ve G\u00fcrcistan’da Lazca ve Megrelce\u2019ye kar\u015f\u0131 olduk\u00e7a ac\u0131mazs\u0131z davrand\u0131. Bu iki karde\u015f dilin kitapl\u0131, okullu, yaz\u0131l\u0131 edebiyatl\u0131 diller olmalar\u0131 s\u00fcrekli engellendi.<\/p>\n 21. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n politik kurumsal yap\u0131lanmalar\u0131, insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n binlerce y\u0131ld\u0131r s\u00fcren \u00f6zg\u00fcrl\u00fck ve hak m\u00fccadelesi sonucu art\u0131k yerelli\u011fe de \u00f6nem vermek zorunda kal\u0131yor.
