Kurtulu\u015f Sava\u015f\u0131&#8217;ndan sonra ailesi \u0130stanbul&#8217;a yerle\u015fince \u0130stanbul Sultanisi&#8217;ne girdi. Onuncu s\u0131n\u0131fta bir \u00f6\u011fretmene yap\u0131lan \u015faka y\u00fcz\u00fcnden s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131 da\u011f\u0131t\u0131l\u0131nca Bursa Erkek Lisesi\u2019ne ge\u00e7ti, 1928&#8217;de buradan mezun oldu. \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi Edebiyat Fak\u00fcltesi\u2019nde bir s\u00fcre e\u011fitim g\u00f6rd\u00fc. Ekonomi \u00f6\u011frenimi i\u00e7in \u0130svi\u00e7re Lozan&#8217;a gitti. K\u0131sa s\u00fcre kald\u0131 ve Fransa\u2019ya ge\u00e7ti. 3 y\u0131l Fransa\u2019da Grenoble&#8217;da ya\u015fad\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>E\u011fitimini yar\u0131m b\u0131rakarak 1933&#8217;te \u0130stanbul&#8217;a d\u00f6nd\u00fc. K\u0131sa bir s\u00fcre Hal\u0131c\u0131o\u011flu Ermeni Yetim Mektebi\u2019nde T\u00fcrk\u00e7e grup dersleri \u00f6\u011fretmenli\u011fi yapt\u0131. Babas\u0131n\u0131n deste\u011fiyle girdi\u011fi ticarette de ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olamad\u0131. Daha sonra hi\u00e7bir i\u015fle u\u011fra\u015fmad\u0131. Ge\u00e7imini babas\u0131ndan kalan mirasla s\u00fcrd\u00fcrd\u00fc. Ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 \u015ei\u015fli\u2019de Bulgar \u00c7ar\u015f\u0131s\u0131\u2019ndaki apartman ve Burgaz Ada\u2019daki k\u00f6\u015fklerinde annesiyle ge\u00e7irdi.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eiir yazmaya \u0130stanbul Sultanisi&#8217;ndeki \u00f6\u011frencilik g\u00fcnlerinde ba\u015flad\u0131. \u00d6yk\u00fcye Bursa&#8217;daki \u00f6\u011frencilik zaman\u0131nda ge\u00e7ti. \u0130lk \u00f6yk\u00fcs\u00fc &#8220;U\u00e7urtmalar&#8221; 9 Aral\u0131k 1929&#8217;da Milliyet gazetesinin sanat sayfas\u0131nda yay\u0131nland\u0131. 1934-1940 aras\u0131nda Varl\u0131k, A\u011fa\u00e7, Servet-i F\u00fcnun Uyan\u0131\u015f, Ses, Yeni Ses, Yaprak, Yenilik gibi dergilerde yay\u0131nlanan \u00f6yk\u00fclerinle tan\u0131nmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. Sait Faik ilk \u00fcr\u00fcnlerini ortaya koyarken, T\u00fcrk \u00f6yk\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde durum \u015f\u00f6yleydi: Bir yanda \u00d6mer Seyfettin&#8217;in &#8220;milli hikayecilik&#8221; etkisi s\u00fcr\u00fcyordu.<\/p>\n<p>Refik Halit Karay&#8217;dan F. Celalettin&#8217;e uzanan g\u00fclmece a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131kl\u0131 &#8220;f\u0131kra-\u00f6yk\u00fcler y\u00f6nelimi&#8221; vard\u0131. Sabri Ertem ve Sabahattin Ali ile yerine oturan &#8220;ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i y\u00f6nelim&#8221; ve Memduh \u015eevket Esendal&#8217;\u0131n i\u00e7ten ve yal\u0131m anlat\u0131m\u0131. Sait Faik bu ortamda ilk \u00f6yk\u00fcleriyle g\u00f6zlemci bir yazar olarak belirdi. Ama k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede \u00f6yk\u00fcy\u00fc olaydan s\u0131y\u0131rmaya y\u00f6neldi. Bu y\u00f6neli\u015finde onun ger\u00e7e\u011fi ya da durumu bir anlat\u0131c\u0131dan, kendi &#8220;ben&#8221;inden ge\u00e7irme e\u011filiminin de b\u00fcy\u00fck pay\u0131 vard\u0131. Bu, \u00f6yk\u00fclerinde do\u011fal bir \u00f6znelle\u015fme s\u00fcreci haz\u0131rlad\u0131. Ona g\u00f6re her \u015fey insan\u0131 sevmekle ba\u015flar. \u0130lk d\u00f6nem \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc \u00f6yk\u00fc kitaplar\u0131nda Adapazar\u0131 ile \u0130stanbul&#8217;daki \u00e7ocukluk ve ilk gen\u00e7lik y\u0131llar\u0131n\u0131 anlatt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Sonraki yap\u0131tlar\u0131 giderek bir \u015fiirsellikle doldu. &#8220;L\u00fczumsuz Adam&#8221;, &#8220;Mahalle Kahvesi&#8221;, &#8220;Havada Bulut&#8221; gibi eserlerinde esnaf, i\u015fsizler gibi dertli insanlara, toplumun ac\u0131 \u00e7eken kesimlerine y\u00f6neldi. &#8220;Kumpanya&#8221; ile \u00f6yk\u00fclerine giren karakterler artt\u0131. Gezgin tiyatro toplulu\u011fu, cambazhane \u00e7al\u0131\u015fanlar\u0131, emekli miralay, Galata, Samatya, Yedikule&#8217;deki deri i\u015f\u00e7ileri, meyhaneler, sabah\u00e7\u0131 kahveleri, \u00e7\u0131mac\u0131lar, garsonlar. &#8220;Son Ku\u015flar&#8221;da bir t\u00fcr d\u00fc\u015f k\u0131r\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131 hissedilir.<\/p>\n<p>Sait Faik, toplumsal d\u00fczenin \u00e7irkinlikleri, sahtelikler, adaletsizlikler kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda direnen insan\u0131n yaln\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ke\u015ffeder. Sonraki kitaplar\u0131nda bu karamsarl\u0131k artar. &#8220;Alemda\u011fda Var Bir Y\u0131lan&#8221;la ger\u00e7ek\u00fcst\u00fcc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011fe y\u00f6neldi. Hikayedeki konu ve olay ak\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 iyice ortadan kald\u0131rd\u0131. \u00d6yk\u00fclemeyi ruhsal de\u011fi\u015fiklikler yoluyla yapt\u0131. Ger\u00e7ek\u00fcst\u00fcc\u00fc \u00f6\u011felerle ki\u015finin yaln\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve bunun yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ac\u0131lar\u0131 irdeledi. \u00d6yk\u00fc, roman ve \u015fiirlerini ya\u015fam\u0131n hakk\u0131n\u0131 vermek i\u00e7in yazd\u0131. S\u00fcrekli kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 ana tema ya\u015fama sevinci oldu. S\u0131radan insanlar, i\u015fsizler, hamallar, bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131lar, sokak kad\u0131nlar\u0131, kimsesiz \u00e7ocuklar, emek\u00e7iler ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck burjuvalar onun insanlar\u0131d\u0131r. O bu insanlarda evrensel insan\u0131 yakalad\u0131. Ayn\u0131 zamanda bir \u0130stanbul \u00f6yk\u00fcc\u00fcs\u00fcd\u00fcr.
